THE BLOX OFFICE PURCHASE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last updated: December 22, 2023
1. INTRODUCTION
These terms and conditions (these “Purchase Terms”) apply to the purchase of tickets to events through thebloxoffice.com, any subdomains of thebloxoffice.com (e.g., www.thebloxoffice.com, rituals.thebloxoffice.com, tied.thebloxoffice.com, etc.), any external domains using a branded url pointed to thebloxoffice.com or any subdomain of thebloxoffice.com, and any hosted or embedded checkout experience built by The Blox Office. The Blox Office reserves the right to change these Purchase Terms without notice. Any changes to the Purchase Terms will take effect on the “Last updated” date set forth in these Purchase Terms. Please review these Purchase Terms before purchasing any tickets from thebloxoffice.com (“the Website”). By the purchase and/or use of a ticket to a ticketed event (the “Event”), you agree to these Purchase Terms.
2. THE BLOX OFFICE AS TICKETING AGENT
The Blox Office acts as a ticketing agent for the individual or entity conducting the event for which you are purchasing tickets (together with its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their successors and assigns, the “Event Provider”). Event Providers may be artists, venue, promoters, leagues, clubs, or their representatives who have hired The Blox Office as a ticketing agent. The Blox Office facilitates your purchase of tickets through the services provided at the Website by providing information about events, handling ticket orders, and collecting payment. Any tickets obtained from unauthorized sources are void.
As the ticketing agent, we do not set pricing, seating availability, or the number of tickets that will be made available for purchase. Event tickets may sell out. Sometimes additional tickets may be made available at the discretion of the Event Providers, either through The Blox Office or other channels of distribution. In some cases, such tickets may be offered for sale at prices lower that the prices charged for tickets sold through the Website, or may be more desirable for other reasons. Those decisions are made by the Event Provider alone. The Blox Office is not responsible or liable for differences among tickets offered at different times and/or through different channels of distribution.
3. PAYMENT AND BILLING
All prices for Event tickets as listed on the Website are stated in U.S. dollars. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover as forms of payment. Orders will be processed only after payment information is verified. Occasionally we receive incorrect credit card information, or payment is declined by the credit card issuer, either of which will cause the ticket order to be canceled. If this occurs, please enter your correct credit card and billing information or contact your credit card issuer before attempting to place another order.
4. PER-CUSTOMER TICKET LIMITS
To give customers a fair chance to buy tickets, Event Providers may limit on the number of tickets that may be purchased by one customer for a particular Event (the “ticket limit”). Any ticket limit will be posted during the purchase process.
5. PROCESSING FEES AND TAXES
Tickets purchased through thebloxoffice.com are subject to a per-ticket convenience fee and a non-refundable, per-order processing fee (e.g., a service charge), which will be added to your order during the purchase process. Some tickets may also be subject to taxes, which are not included in the ticket’s listed price. Charges for any taxes will be added to your order during the purchase process.
6. TICKET DELIVERY
All Blox Office tickets are delivered digitally. We use two methods to verify your purchase:
- Digital delivery: You may access your ticket through your account in the form of universal QR Code. This code is unique to you and stores a reference to all tickets purchased through your account. Do not attempt to transfer your ticket by transferring the QR code to another individual. Instead, please follow the transfer instructions below.
- Will call. As a second method of verifying your ticket purchase, your name will be placed on the Event Provider’s Will Call list. To claim your ticket by this method, please be prepared to show event staff valid photo identification.
7. PRICING AND OTHER ERRORS
If the price you have paid for a ticket is incorrect, or if you were able to purchase a ticket that should not have been released, The Blox Office may cancel the ticket or the entire order and refund to you the amount that you paid. This rule will apply regardless of the reason for or the source of the error. While you may be able to purchase as replacement ticket in the event of such a cancellation, The Blox Office cannot guarantee that you will have the opportunity to do so.
When you complete your order your confirmation number will be displayed, and an email with your confirmation number will be sent to your email address. You will also receive a digital receipt from Stripe which will be sent to your email address. If you do not receive a confirmation number by either method or a digital recepit from Stripe, or if you experience other errors while completing the purchase process, it is your responsibility to contact The Blox Office to confirm whether your order has been placed. You agree that if you do not receive a confirmation number or a digital receipt from Stripe, the Box Office will not be liable for your losses, financial or otherwise, if the purchase was in fact completed.
8. CANCELED AND RESCHEDULED EVENTS
From time to time the Event Provider or the venue may cancel or reschedule events due to severe weather, dangerous conditions, or other events or circumstances beyond the Provider’s or venue’s reasonable control. In the event of a cancelation or postponement, we will attempt to contact you with information about refund or exchange procedures. You may check The Blox Office listing for the Event for this information as well. You may also contact the Blox Office through email at support@thebloxoffice.com. If you contact us by email, be sure to include your account's e-mail of record and an order number so that we may expedite the refund or exchange if appropriate.
Refunds or exchanges will be issued at the Event Provider’s discretion. The Blox Office acts as the Event Provider’s ticketing agent, and is not obligated to issue refunds except to the extent that the Event Provider instructs us to do so and provides us with the funds. The Blox Office shall not be liable for damages due to expenses incurred by you or other ticket holders in connection with the canceled or rescheduled event. A refund will not be issued in the event that an opening act or guest of the main performer is changed or canceled. The Blox Office may not be made aware of such changes by the Event Provider, and is not responsible for notifying you of such changes.
A refund may not be issued for an event that begins and then is cancelled after it has begun. To receive a refund for a canceled event, you must follow the Event Provider’s instructions. All refunds will be contingent on your compliance with the Event Provider’s deadlines and other requirements. If a refund is issued, it will be credited to the same credit card that you used to make the purchase. Any refunds issued will be for the face value of the ticket price, or if the ticket was purchased at a discount, at the discounted price.
9. TICKETS NOT GENERALLY REFUNDABLE
Please review your event, date, and seats choices carefully before making a purchase. The Blox Office is a ticketing agent for the Event Provider and is generally not permitted by the Event Provider to issue refunds for tickets.
You agree that you will not attempt to circumvent this refund policy by any means. You agree that you will not contact The Blox Office to seek a refund or an exchange of tickets, except as provided herein upon the cancellation of an Event. You further agree that you will not dispute credit card charges for the purchase of tickets on the Website. If you attempt to circumvent the refund policy by these or any other means, the Blox Office may, in its discretion, cancel your ticket and refuse to honor further orders from (1) anyone with a name associated with that credit card account or related accounts, (2) anyone using that credit card account or related accounts for payment, or (3) anyone who otherwise breaches this section.
10. TICKET TRANSFER
To transfer your ticket to another individual’s account, do not attempt to transfer your unique QR code yourself. Your QR code identifies your user account, and all of the transactions associated with it. Instead, please use our built-in ticket transfer feature, accessible via the "Order Details" page for a given transaction, or contact The Blox Office at support@thebloxoffice.com for assistance in transferring the ticket to another account.
11. MULTIPLE BROWSER WINDOWS
Please open only one browser window at a time when ordering tickets through thebloxoffice.com. Opening multiple windows may result in an error in the completion of your order.
12. RESALE OF TICKETS AND COMMERCIAL USE
Your ticket is intended for personal use. Resale of your ticket at a price greater than face value is prohibited. The attempted unlawful resale of your ticket is grounds for cancellation of your order without a refund. You agree not to use the ticket for any commercial purposes without the express written consent of the Event Provider. Such uses include offering the ticket as a prize or incentive in advertising, promotions, contests, and sweepstakes.
13. ADMISSION SUBJECT TO SEARCH
The Event Provider or venue may require that you consent to a search of you and your belongings upon entry to the Event. If you withhold consent to such a search, you may be refused admission to the Event without a refund or other compensation. Venue and Event Provider rules may prohibit bringing certain items onto the premises, including but not limited to alcohol; controlled, dangerous, or illegal substances; weapons; recording devices; and containers.
14. ADMISSION, LICENSE, AND EJECTION
You must have a valid ticket to be admitted to the event for which you purchased or hold a ticket (the “Event”). A valid ticket grants you a revocable license to attend the Event at the date and time specified, and is subject to any additional, applicable terms which the venue imposes. This license is subject to revocation by the Event Provider or venue for any reason, including your failure to comply with the Event Provider’s or venue’s policies or rules, disorderly conduct, abusive or vulgar language, or actions that violate of local, state, or federal law. If you are refused admission to or ejected from the Event no refund will be issued.
15. APPEARANCE RELEASE
The Event is a public event. Attending the event may result in your being photographed or recorded by persons authorized to do so on behalf of the event promoters. You hereby grant to the event promoters, The Blox Office, and their designees, a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to record and photograph you, and to edit, use, and reproduce your image, voice, performance, movements, and/or physical likeness for any purpose, in any manner, in any medium now known or developed in the future in connection with the Event or future publicity by the event promoters and The Blox Office. You agree that you are not entitled to any further compensation for such uses, and that no further authorization is required.
16. UNAUTHORIZED PHOTOGRAPHY AND RECORDINGS
You agree and acknowledge that all photography, recording, or transmission by you of the Event (whether photographic, audio, video, audio-visual, or otherwise) is prohibited. The Event Provider’s and organizers may remove from the event any ticket holder who makes an unauthorized recording or transmission of the Event.
17. LOCATION OF POP-UP EVENTS
The location of pop-up events may be undisclosed until the day of the event. You agree that if the location is not released in advance, when you receive the location information on the day of the Event, you will not disclose that information to anyone other than authorized attendees for whom you have purchased tickets. You further agree that you will not post the location information on social media or in a public place.
18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
You assume all risks incidental to attending the Event, whether before, during or after performance. You hereby release The Blox Office, its management, officers, directors, owners, employee, or agents on behalf of yourself and any accompanying minor from any claims for personal injury or death.
19. EXPLICIT ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND LIABILITY WAIVER FOR COVID-19
By purchasing a ticket using The Blox Office and voluntarily attending the respective event, you choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 or any other pathogen at the event. You acknowledge and agree that attendance at the event is of such a value to you that you accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting and/or spreading COVID-19 or any other pathogen by attending the event. You further hereby forever release and waive your right to bring suit against The Blox Office, LLC and its owners, officers, directors, managers, officials, agents, employees or other representatives in connection with exposure, infection, and/or spread of COVID-19 or any other pathogen related to attendance at the event. By purchasing said ticket you understand that the foregoing waiver means you give up your right to bring any claims including for personal injury, death, disease or property losses, and any other loss, including but not limited to claims for negligence and further give up any claim you may have to seek damages, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.
20. ENTIRE AGREEMENT INCLUDES TERMS OF USE AND PRIVACY POLICY
By using the Website to purchase Tickets, you agree to the Terms of Use, as well as these Purchase Terms, and the Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference into the Terms of Use. The terms of the Terms of Use shall apply to these Purchase Terms to the extent that they do not conflict with any provision herein.
